Homewood College

Welcome

Homewood College provides for pupils aged 11-16 who have an EHCP with SEMH as their primary need.  Our values and ethos are centered on a comprehensive whole child approach to education, valuing all learning in and out of the classroom. We are an Attachment Aware school which means we focus on building positive relationships between children and staff and children with their peers. We also support the pupils to develop positive relationships in the community by providing a secure base at school. We have high expectations of pupils, and encourage them to be reflective, build their self-esteem, and do their best. We support the development of emotional resilience, through relationship building and therapeutic input.

The school aims to provide a safe and stimulating environment where pupils are supported to overcome their barriers to learning. Pupils have access to the National Curriculum and a range of GCSE subjects as well as Functional Skills, AQA unit awards and vocational qualifications.  The formal curriculum is well supported by additional activities planned around individual interests, especially vocational courses.

We work closely with parents/carers as well as with our multi-agency partners and professionals to ensure the needs of pupils are met.

We hope you find our website useful and informative. If you have any questions or need further information, then please contact the school office.
